Dear Sir
Your Letter found me very busy putting down plants I received from Dr Martius <2> a few days ago from the Brazils a very fine Collection I am much obliged to you in offering to send the List of Hungarian plants but I will not trouble you to do as [sic] I am not much interested about the plants of that Country or Germany I wrote a very long Letter to Dr Martius yesterday who I hope soon we shall see in this Country & will let you know as soon as I hear from him again on the subject have just got his 3d part of Nov: Gen & Palms coloured. as you are now not many miles from hence shall be happy to have the pleasure of seeing you here & shewing you any plants that might be worth your notice Mr & Mrs Selwyn <3> were here a short time ago & hope to have the pleasure of seeing them again this summer. I shall be at home from the 10th to the 19th of next month when I go to Sir Rich: Hoares <4> Stourhead for some days. Sir J E Smith <5> is now living within two miles of you at Henbury I [illegible] suppose you have seen him I expect his 3 vol: daily[?] as I should suppose it must be finished I received a long Letter from Mr Strangeways <6> [sic] a short time ago with 2 plates from Raddi <7>
