My dear Mr Talbot
We are very glad to find that our visit to Lacock need not be deferred & shall have great pleasure in going to you on Monday the 12th. Henry <2> begs me, to thank you for your kindness in including him in your invitation & to express his regret that he cannot avail himself of it –. He wished it so much that he has been trying every possible way of contriving it but finds it impracticable – He has been already too much away from All Souls & must return there Saturday to stay till the 7 when a Dinner Sir E Baker <3> gives to his Troops of yeomanry brings him back to us – He has left us this morng for London, where he has been is obliged to stay 2 or 3 days, having dined & slept Monday at Melbury with the rest of the Yeomanry – He says it was a remarkably pleasant Dinner – I think it most probable that Mr Berens <4> voted in compliance to the kind wish you expressed, & I am sure Henry has great reason to feel grateful for the kindness shown to him on this occasion by so many of his friends & acquaintances, Yourself among the number – I am glad Lord & Lady Valletort <5> are to spend the Honey moon in Dorsetshire – we shall drink their healths on the 6th
