Dear Sir –
Mr Hervey <1> informs me that Fifty Copies of the communication to the Atheneum were sent to you “nicely printed” – I expect they must be at the Atheneum Club for you. <2> I have forwarded your reply to Dr Woods <3> – I have not seen his letter but judging from your own it appears uncalled for – As reasonably might I complain of your employing the Sulphate of Iron –
I am a candidate for the Fellowship of the Royal Society – you will shortly find at the Rooms my Certificate – if you would – if quite agreeable – honor it with your name, as being a worker in your own field – I should esteem it highly
I am Dear Sir Yours very truly
Robert Hunt
Hy Fox Talbot Esqr
