I have sent by rail this evening your plates and 2 pr^fs of each. I attended to the burnishing as requested.

Are you aware of the new patent of M^r Joubert for coating copper plates with a steel surface thus enabling you to take off as many as a steel plate. Should you be coming to town I can shew you the effect or I can have one of your plates surfaced The cost is 4^d pr inch
