October 10th 1832

Respected Sir

As a Gentleman has offered to take a House situated at Beanacre, I have to let, if I ascertain that he may have Liberty to shoot over a Manor in the neighbourhood, I beg respectfully to solicit from You a Promise to grant him Liberty to shoot over the Manor at Lacock, of which You are Lord, if it may be agreeable to You, which will greatly oblige, and do me an essential service: as it will enable me to procure a Tenant for a house which has been untenanted nearly two years, and which may remain untenanted two years longer, if the present opportunity of letting it may not be rendered available. Should You wish for further communication, I shall be most happy to render all that may lay in my power

I am, Sir, with profound respect, Your most obedient, humble Servant,
E H Greene
