My dear Henry

Your correspondent is a Lady – one of the Miss Messingberd Mundys who were paying a visit at Markeaton <1> when Charles and Ela <2> met them. As you wished an early reply to your question, I send this to be posted at Corsham <3> to catch the day mail to London – which I fancy will almost answer the purpose of a telegram – At any rate it is an innocent experiment, and I am curious to know that it answers – I am not sending over to Corsham on purpose, but to meet Mr Fowler at the Station at 10•10 – I am glad he is able to obey my Summons, and hope he may suggest something useful. This promises to be again a glorious Autumnal day – I don’t like those trains being continually behind time and then putting on Steam to make it up –

Your affectionate
Constance
