Dear Sir
I am glad that Mr Willats has had the good sense to submit, as I have no wish to go to law with anybody – I will consider & send word in a day or two on what terms I could give him a license.
I wish you would ascertain whether the successors of Mr Palmer in Newgate St I believe No 102, sell my iodized paper, and if so, let some one purchase a packet of it for evidence, and that being done, I should wish a similar letter to be written to them. I am not able to point out any other parties by name, who I think are likely to be infringing the patent, but when I return to Town next week I will cause proper enquiries to be made, and take steps accordingly –
The Railway people are so very cunning, that I have no manner of doubt they will get out of the dilemma in which their extreme haste has involved them, without my deriving any particular advantage from the circumstance –
Believe me
Dear Sir
Yours most truly
H. F. Talbot
