J’ai lû avec beaucoup d’interêt la description de votre Microscope <1> à reflexion, et je voudrois beaucoup posséder un de cette construction. Je vous prie de m’écrire si vous aurez la bonté de me le faire construire, et comme je vais partir d’ici, permettez que je vous donne mon adresse à Londres, au No 31 Sackville Street. <2> Au mois d’Août je reviens à Florence, et je pourrai le recevoir alors. J’en desirerois un qui fût d’un pouvoir amplifiant considerable, mais surtout d’une grande clarté et netteté, et propre à toute recherche experimentale très delicate.

I read the description of your reflecting Microscope with great interest, and I would very much like to own such a model. Please inform me if you would be so good as to construct one for me, and since I will be leaving here, please allow me to give you my address in London at No 31 Sackville Street. I will be returning to Florence in August, and I can collect it then. I would like a microscope which has a considerable magnifying power, but above all, it should be very clear and distinct, and suitable for all experimental research of a very delicate nature.
