Dear Sir,
Mr Goldney has been from home, so that I cod not see him till yesterday. He objects to limiting the Costs of making out the title &c to £20· but is willing to leave the Amount, in case of difference of opinion between us, to any respectable Solr. Mr Fussell will not sell the whole Field at less than £900 – but is willing to sell the 3 acres at £500· but you will observe that this quantity will not cover the additional piece acquired for the proposed deviation of the Road – as soon as you return to Lacock I will do myself the pleasure of waiting on you, but I expect to be at Salisbury from Tuesday till Friday or Saturday next.
I am dear Sir Your obliged Servt
West Awdry.
H. F. Talbot Esq.
