Dear Sir,
I have fixed next Monday the 27th inst for your Audit – immediately after which I will remit £400· to Coutts & Co <1> for the Bank of Scotland at Edinburgh – My object in sending a Bankers Draft at 14 days date was to save Commission on the remittance but I will send it direct in future – the charge for remittance is s2/6d per Cent:
The iron works are in a state of abeyance at Seend – I understand Mr Sarl <2> one of the late Company is the obstacle to their forming a new one – but Mr Locke speaks hopefully about it.
I am Dear Sir Yours obliged
West Awdry.
