Friday Eveng31 Decr. 1841

Dear Sir,

There are several persons in custody on suspicion of being concerned in the Burglary at Mr Awdrys – two of them have been identified and the Receiver of a considerable portion of the stolen Property, a working jeweller in Bath, has also been apprehended – They are all to be brought up for Examination tomorrow and I have no doubt several of them of them will be Committed – They are all as we supposed London theives <sic> but <illegible> well known in and about Bath and its neighbourhood. I will take care to inform you the result of tomorrow’s Examination.
