Dear Sir,
I annex a Copy Letter from Mr Collen <2> I have also received an application for terms for a Licence from Mr Newton an Artist at Brighton He says there is one there holding a Licence under Mr Beard <3> I will answer his enquiry by asking his object &c you suggested with respect to Mr [Farlie?]

In reply to yours of the 10th, for not answering which earlier I beg to apologize, I have to state that from Augt 16/41. on which day I first recd payment for a Calotype Portrait to March 22/42 I produced, or rather received payment for 58 Portraits and 31 Copies and from the latter day to June 24. for 151 Portraits and 26 Copies making a total to that time of

£30 per Cent: on which is I believe a fraction more than £70·2·0
