Dear Mr Talbot.
A report has just reached me that you are to be at Winton on Tuesday the 20th which induces me to propose to you to come to us for a few days on the 21st. It may seem rather arbitrary in me to venture to fix the day, particularly as you will be on a visit to Lady Mildmay, <1> but I have obtained her permission to make this proposal, & I trust you will accede to it, as you will meet one or two friends – a pleasure I could not promise you the following week.
Believe me to be ever most truly Yrs
