Lacock Abbey

Oct. 10

Dear Sir

I propose to call at the Museum on Wednesday. I would be glad if Mr Smith <1> would kindly look out for me the tablet S 954 <2> of which Mr Sayce <3> has given a translation in vol 5 of Records of the Past. <4>

It would be desirable to publish the cuneiform text of all those documents of which translations have been recently published but a critical enquiry Can only be founded on the original texts.

Yours vy Truly

H. F. Talbot

Dr Birch
B Musm
