Dear Sir

I beg to inform you that the Spectroscope has been forwarded to Chippenham Station in accordance with your kind instructions.

I shall be much obliged by your letting me know if it is satisfactory.

The slit provided with coloured glass wedges which you kindly ordered shall be s[en]t in two or three weeks. It is partially made, but I shall have to leave town for a fortnight, and that will prevent its completion until I return.
