Il previent en même temps mr Talbot qu’il va demain a la ville et que s’il vouloit voir ou le Jardin botanique ou son herbier, il seroit a ses ordres. il passera demain a dix heures devant l’hotel de Secheron et pourroit conduire mr Talbot si cela peut lui convenir.
il le prie d’agréer ses civilités empressées./.

Translation:
Professor de Candolle has the honour of requesting mr Talbot’s company for dinner at his home at La Perriere next Monday at half past 4.
At the same time he notifies mr Talbot that tomorrow he shall go to town and that if he should wish to see either the Botanical Garden or his herbarium, he would be at his bidding. He will pass before the hotel de Secheron tomorrow at ten o’clock and could drive mr Talbot if that were convenient for him.
He begs him to accept his sincere regards./.
