My dear Sir,
On Saturday the 7th, I sent you by rail four large portraits for your printing trials.
I regret that I have made you wait so long for them, but my Jury work for the great International Exhibition has absorbed me so much for several weeks that I have been forced to neglect many things. Please forgive me.
Please accept, dear Sir, my sincere regards.
A Claudet
