My dear Henry
I think the book you mention will be very acceptable to all this branch of the family, I shall be delighted to have it but only regret that the Infusoria should nibble so many leaves out of your book - my garden is uncommonly gay & as yet has felt nothing of frost to check the blowing of the roses or Dahlias - Mr Traherne & Charlotte <2> are still bathing in the Sea but tomorrow they leave it & I think it is high time. I am expectg them here in a few days & if you order the Book, to be sent to me carefully packed by the Coach, they will enjoy it as much as me. I shall hope soon to hear of the prosperity of Caroline & your Mother <3> who I hope does not confine herself to the house but is preparing herself for the winter -
