My Dear Sir
I cannot tell how the wrong notices got sent to you the circulars I suppose got mixed by my lad who folded them
I enclose the only notice left. excuse its being already directed to another member
Mr Mabey has sent me your second most valuable paper, the Hymn to the sacred Ma<nita?>, whatever it may have been is almost vedic in its style. like some of the <Gacna?>’s, do you not think so. Among other sacred stones which you might add to your list may I suggest that of the <Caeba?> – of the Goddess Derceto of <Ascalorn?>, and probably some of these venerated in Southern India
The whole subject is one of the most curious brought before our society, and will doubtless elicit a good discussion
Have you received the Hameth inscriptions –?
Yrs fatly
