My dear Sir
From our conversation yesterday I see the very great importance of <Seeing?> to the question of the Rail – or Tram-Way. and I shall be very happy to give every assistance in my power –
I must send an engineer to look to the question of the working the ore, and I will take that opportunity of getting him to look into the question of the railway – for which purpose it will be important that he should first look with a plan of the part of your property opposite the canal incline – I therefore send you a sheet of tracing paper and perhaps you be <sic> kind enough to let me have a tracing – and also permission to inspect the land on each side of the canal in your absence.
