H. Fox Talbot Esqre

Dear Sir,

I am duly in receipt of your favor of the 14th, and of the Photo engraving accompanying it, it is wonderful considering that it is quite untouched by the engraver and gives promise of a great future for this branch of the art of Photography; I am sure, your contribution to the portfolio of the society will be much appreciated, and valued as coming from the originator of our art science in this country

I should have been glad if you could have been at the Soiree on Monday as I expect we shall have an interesting evening among other objects of interest Mr Woodbury has promised to work his process of printing which has yielded some of the most perfect results I ever saw in photography, I look to this process as one that will bring within the reach of the million all the choicest gems which photography has produced

I remain dear Sir Yours very sincerely
Arthur Coventry
