Your letter is very satisfactory to us, especially the excellent experiment which you relate of substituting paper covered with iodised Collodion for my iodised paper, and then treating it by my Calotype process, obtaining thereby a satisfactory negative picture. Mr Bolton will I am sure be happy to see you on Thursday or Friday. The trial will take place at the Guildhall nominally next Saturday the 9th but Mr Bolton think more probably on Monday the 11th – Along with the subp œna a notice of the day will be sent. We should with you to being to Town with you some specimens done exactly according to my specification –
2dly Specimens done on paper spread with iodised Collodion and then proceeded with, according to the Calotype process.
3. positive copies of the 4 negative which I sent to you.
