Dear Sir
I received your letter and the specification of your new invention safely this morning. I have read the latter with the greatest interest and I am sure all the readers of the “News” will do the same. By this post I suppose you will receive the current number I have mentioned in it that I am expecting a steel plate &<c?> – and I may also state that Messrs Petter & Galpin will be very happy to employ Mr Brooker to print the proofs according to your wish. In addition to the separate copies of the description which I will see are printed, would you wish for any extra copies of the “Photographic News” containing it and also of the one which will be illustrated with the photoglyph or any separate prints of the latter – Shall I send you 25 of each? or perhaps more of the print – It will be no trouble or expense to me as I have only to mention the number of copies and they will be sent so please mention the full number you would like.
I am much obliged for your kind illustration of the correctness of Photoglyph –
Believe me very truly yours
William Crookes.
