Sir

Two Belgian artists would be pleased to be able to obtain your permission to exploit your photographic invention, as much for artistic as for financial reasons.

Having learned that your special permission was necessary, please grant us this permission, Sir, at conditions which you will set, and please to put us in touch with the people who have been given your Instructions.

Please believe how much we want to make your discovery known to the public, and it is in the Hope that you will be willing to grant us this permission that I am taking the liberty of contacting you.

And I ask you, Sir, to accept the assurance of the profound Respect of Your very humble servant.
