Mt Edgcumbe
Tuesday
My dear Uncle Henry
I cannot find your first letter & do not remember exactly when, & for how long, you said you were going to the North.
I really think I could manage to pay you a little visit during part of the time, if you are sure I should not be in the way, & I should like it above all things. I should be very much obliged to you if you would let me know till when you will remain there in order that I may make my plans accordingly.
I do not know where you are now, but suppose that this will be forwarded if you are not at Lacock.
Believe me ever your affte nephew (in great haste)
Valletort
I was so sorry you were not able to come to Oxford at Commemoration, I think it wd have amused you.
