My dear Sir

Pray excuse my neglect in not having written to you sooner – The plants arrived all safe & very fresh, & I am much obliged for them –

On the other side I send a list of plants that I c^d spare – It is a very short list, <illegible deletion> but I thought you w^d prefer a short list of good things more than a longer list of common things – If you will put y^r pen through any you do not care for, & will tell me the best way of sending them, I will attend to them next week – I shall be f^m home all this week.
