My dear Talbot
A Relative of Mrs Sotheron having fallen with much unexpected misfortunes, is without a House, and I think we are bound to offer to him our House in Yorkshire, of which I spoke to you last week. My offer to you must therefore be conditional on the acceptance or refusal of the House by our unfortunate Friend – I shall have his decision in a few days after my return to Town at the end of this week, and you shall hear from me again.
Since I saw you last, I have had some conversation with a Director of the Weth & Somerset Railway and I fear you have overstood your Market. I understand they do not mean to go at all on yr Land.
Believe me
yours v truly
T H S Sotheron
