I am very glad to hear that Caroline & Horatia <1> have taken to riding, and that it has done them as might be expected a great deal of good – I shall be delighted to make them a present of two ponies if you can meet with any that you think would suit them. Perhaps my uncle knows of some. I hope the rheumatism in your foot is better, & does not prevent you amusing yourself in shooting. I wonder whether you received a letter from me, vituperative of the Ministry.
