My dear Henry.

I hope to be at Cambridge ^<2> on Wednesday the 9^th by the Sleaford coach so pray bespeak me a bed at the Sun. I shall stay with you Thursday & proceed either that night or Friday M^g to London. You may tell Smythe ^<3> I am coming & perhaps he will ask us to dinner on Thursday but if it is anyhow not customary for you youngsters to dine with people of his high degree, in short if by that arrangement there would be any chance of our not dining together say nothing about it - God bless you my Boy
