Sunday morning

My dear Henry

I think by sending this to Hounslow you will get it tomorrow and I wish you to come as soon as you can. There is no ammendment [sic], & the weakness so extreme that they doubt his being able to bear the remedies any longer.<1> But still Dr Symour says it is not absolutely hopeless but I am without hope & therefore naturally look to you to comfort me in this great extremity, the bitterest trial I have ever had. – You will find your room ready here, I have requested Mr M. to seek a lodging – I have been up these two nights & feel rather ill, but do not like to leave him a moment, or to lose any of the last hours of thirty three years of kindness & happiness
