Melbury <1>

Wednesday

My Dear Henry

As you do not leave town till tomorrow there will be just time to put the enclosed in the Foreign Post & pay for it, which is awkward to do at this distance from the Dorchester Post Office. I had written it before I knew from you of their change of plans & what would have been very amusing at Padua will be without the smallest interest at Florence where of course they will hear all the news, but I am too lazy to write another instead. I wish you would write you see what pleasure it gives. The weather is so bad I have hardly been out since I came

Affly Yrs

EF
