I send by this post the bottle of peppermint & hope it will arrive as safe as the Cream jug from Frankfort. Pray make notes of all the places you pass by that will be good objects for another time. and I advise you to take a little arrow root with you, it will be a resource when you get <bad tea?> a very small quantity suffices for each time I suppose N. <1> knows how to make it, if not he may easily learn

Pray write often – I say nothing of any body, no news is good news Make H. <2> provide herself with some comforts for the journey before she sets off. She can certainly get them in Munich.
