My Dear Mother

Caroline <1> is much better; but the accounts of Ld Mt E <2> are worse, and she is in a fidget to be off before she is quite able to bear the journey – George Edgcumbe <3> is going down by the Mail tonight to see his brother, as his company always amuses him. I have told Caroline the secret of the Kensington post office, so she will write tomorrow & say if she can come to Lacock for a night; for now she is unable to decide

Your affte

Henry
