In the recollections of the Traveller, the scenery of the Rhine & the Moselle will always be connected with the venerable ecclesiastical buildings decorating the banks of these rivers. Nor are these Glocken Thürns confined to the immediate viccinity [sic] of the rivers, they extend through the whole of the ancient imperial dioceses, Cologne, Treves, Worms, Mayence, Spire, Constance for which reason I am sorry you gave up your tour in Belgium – but is it too late? Why not after the Railway business in the H. of Lords is disposed of? I hope you have had that prospectus printed, & that I shall find it all ready: I intend being in town Wednesday & hope your affairs will not have suffered by my absence.
