My Dear Mother
I shall send up the P. of Wales <1> tomorrow. Tarrant <2> is mounting some specimens for me on embossed cards if you like to see how they look you can tell him to bring you some.
In these days it is no sinecure to be Governor General of India <3> witness todays newspaper which is very interesting.

I have much business in London, but shall wait till you are gone, as the lower part of the house is uninhabitable from smoke, during the morning hours.
