My dear Henry
I am very sorry you did not come here, though I do not think you would have found much to amuse you. The party consists of Sir Roger & Lady Sophia Gresley, Lord Newry <2> & his daughter Miss Howard, Mr & Mrs Trevor, & Col. Burke <3>. The Belfasts <4> are expected to-day & will I hope enliven us a little for hitherto the dinners have been the most silent I have ever assisted at. The house is Grecian & will be magnificent when finished, but I should not think the place was pretty even in summer. Lady Londonderry <5> appears to much greater advantage in the country – she is quite lively compared to what she is in London. –
Addio fratello carissimo <6>, I will send this as you desire to Richmond to let you know we are alive – as to our future plans, I believe you know them much better than I do. I only hope we shall continue to meet somewhere or other.
Your affte sister
