Sir,

We have the honour of notifying you that we have received your favourof the 17th instant. It contained an order to receive 156f from Mr Laffite, which we have done, and with which sum we are crediting you. We have also received the gravures which you were kind enough to send us, and which we found to be extremely well done. Indeed, there are certain details which are truly admirable, as you noted in your letter, and we are most interested to see that you have only a very short way to go for your process to enter the domain of industrial production. In this way, it will give the world an invention which will be the worthy crowning achievement of its admirable sister, which science already owes to you. For our part, we shall add a further expression of gratitude as we are indebted to you for the ease which we have obtained and the countless artistic pleasures which practicing the divine art which you have invented has procured for us.

We hope that we will soon receive further specimens of your new work.

Please accept, Sir, the assurance of my sincere regards. Your servant,
Ferrier
