Burley. <1>
Novr 14th – 1837 –
My dr Talbot,
I have written today to Mr Bramwell Junr. He has just lost his father,<2> which will account for Mr King’s having had no answer to his letter – It is possible that his Son may not be equal to attend [illegible deletion] to the matter for a few days, but I doubt not that he will do so with as little delay as possible.
With respect to my secession from parliament,<3> so many reasons, social, moral, religious, & financial concurred, that it wd be vain to attempt to describe them all in a small compass, we may however mutually congratulate ourselves at having escaped from pandaemonium.
Yrs very truly
G Finch
H. F. Talbot Esqr
