My dear Henry

I am very sorry you should have so much trouble with that particularly tiresome Editor, but most grateful for your exertions, & glad that I did not apply to him myself, for if he treats you in so very ungentlemanlike a manner, Who are a person of note, he would have almost annihilated poor insignificant me, & have treated me still more cavalierly.

I write now not only to thank you & regret the trouble you have undergone in my behalf, but to ask you if you are not perfectly satisfied with his terms, or if he still appears to be undecided, not to wait fo to write to me, but to write again at once to him & request him to send it back to you at once & without delay, as I have expressed my disinclination to submit to either the terms or the hesitation.

Then he must send it back. Whereto after the way he behaves, would I think be better for me in all respects. Then I should try Chambers, as Sir Robert Christison <1> has been so kind in paving the way for me, & naming the article of which I had given him a sketch, & Sir R. C. said he thought it would prove of general interest.

With again thanks, Your aff. cousin
Louisa Charlotte Frampton
