To W H F Talbot Esqr
Sir,
I beg to hand you my Estimate for covering the Conservatory at Lacock Abbey with a Glass Roof as proposed.
All the Sashes to be hung on moveable hinges, with the necessary Rafters and Ridge Piece, Capping &c – of best Red Fir and the Work executed in a workmanlike manner for the sum of –

I have not calculated on any fastenings to facilitate the opening and shutting the Sashes as I do not know the manner in which you would like them to act, – not the number of Sashes to be opened:
With respect to the Zinc covering, I beg to suggest that it might be used as occasion may require, for a substitute for other covering on the Farms, or at the Cottages, and if so, you would make more of it than by selling it at once
I remain Sir Yours obediently
John Gale.
