Sir
when I was first consulted respecting the ground for Mrs Gaisfords monument I suggested to Mr Gaisford that the ground should be gothic carved in Caen stone and the inscription engraved on a brass plate in gothic letters but since I have seen the church I still think it should be so I therefore beg to hand you two slight sketches drawn to a scale to suit both the marbles and of the same period as the monuments in the church in which these are to be placed Awaiting your further instructions
I am Sir Your most obedient Servant
