Sir

I am very sorry to find by your letter that you have had so much trouble with Messrs Bramah <1> about the Water Engine, or rather the experimental model which they made –

They have changed a great deal too much, and one of the Partners whom I saw on the subject a long time ago, agreed that the price should be reduced –

If you will therefore have the goodness to send me their Acct I will see them on the business and make such an arrangement, as I am sure will be satisfactory to you –

I am Sir Your very obed Srt
Henry Harrison

1. The engineering firm descended from Joseph Bramah (1748–1814), inventor and pioneer of hydraulics.
