M^r Hatchard presents his respects to M^r Talbot and has forwarded by post this day a copy of the “Report of the 13^th Meeting of the British Association”, ^<1> which is out of print and scarce; the price of it will be 10/6.

The 1851 Edition of “Hunts Photography” ^<2> is quite out of print, M^r Hatchard has written to M^r Griffin of Glasgow who has not a single copy; he will however make further enquiry and send a copy as soon as he succeeds in meeting with one.

M^r Hatchard also encloses a note from Mess^rs Black of Edinburgh respecting the vol of the Edinburgh Philosophical Journal, which he is still endeavouring to procure at the second hand Booksellers.

1. The British Association for the Advancement of Science - the 13^th annual meeting was held at Cork in August 1843.

2. The 1^st edition of Robert Hunt's Photography: a treatise on the chemical changes produced by solar radiation, and the production of pictures from nature, by the daguerreotype, calotype, and other photographic processes (London: John J Griffin & Co., 1851). Reflecting the rapid advances of photography in the 1850s, a 2^nd edition came out in 1851, a 3^rd in 1853 and a 4^th in 1854. The Glasgow editions were published by Robert Griffin & Co.
