Dear Sir

I am very much obliged to you for the volume which I have just received, and much gratified by this recollection of me. I was very much interested in your former small essays upon etymology and am somewhat impatient to indulge myself with the examination of the volume you have been kind enough to send me but I fear that pressing occupations will for a few days delay my promised pleasure
