Dear Sir
I forward you copy of Mr Hale’s opinion on the Probate duty question which is very satisfactory & I consider you may safely omit all portions of the late admiral’s Estate from the amount to assess the [?] Probate duty – You should allow a trifle for the proportion of Interest on mortgage and of current dividends but which with the cash in hand would not amount to 500d – and to this you would only have to add the value of the furniture plate [?] jewels &c &c
I am dear Sir yours truly
