My dear Sir
I am in receipt of yours of the 8th I am obliged to you for the communication therein & sincerely wish your Sister health & happiness –
My knowledge of your Sister’s Property will enable me to be useful in the arrangements for the settlement thereof & my services will be most cheerfully given – but as I am likely to be much absent & may have to go to Ireland, & in any case as I should ask the assistance of Mr Bolton & his Staff I think I shall best serve you by asking you to name Mr Bolton as the Solicitor to take charge of the business & communicate with Captn Gaisford’s Solr – for all useful purposes however it may be considered as if Mr Bolton himself were actually Solicitor in partnership
The preparation of the Settlements as regards trouble & time must depend upon the character of the Property to be willed –
What the nature of the intended Husband’s Property may be I of course cannot yet know –
If land the Settlements may be difficult & cause delay & I should say might require 6 weeks.
If money or what Lawyers call personal Property beng being of the same character as your Sister’s fortune all would be done under one deed & if requisite no doubt we could be ready in 3 weeks from the time of getting the requisite instructions –
It will be proper I presume to settle all your Sister’s fortune & 1/10 of all Stocks 4000 mortgage & every thing wch have to be made over to Trustees & settled according to the trusts to be agreed upon –
I am my dear Sir yours faithfully
