Dear Sir,
There will be an express power to enable the Trustees, by your direction, to sell the whole or any part of the settled Estates, & therefore the Settlements will enable you shod a desireable <sic> opportunity occur to sell the Abbey etc. The proceeds will of course have to be invested in the Trustees names on the purchase of other Estates to be conveyed to the Uses of the Settlement & ’till such purchase the money wod be <sic> to be invested in the funds.
I wrote to you yesterday in answer to your Letter of Sunday & addressed it to Markeaton <1> from whence it will of course be forwarded to you. –
