Serjeants Inn Fleet Street
16 March 1837
My dear Sir
Perhaps Mr Finch may not consider it worth while to trouble you with an answer to your letter as he has sent Mr Coombs up to me to arrange all Matters respecting the Advowson – but it is not overcourteous on his part not to acknowledge your letter.
I have had an Interview with Mr Coombs & the Counsel & Agents of Mrs De Starcks <1> Trustees & I have now reason to consider that every Thing is in train & that on Tuesday or at latest Wednesday I shall receive the 1470£. I shall then see you with the Presentation & on a subsequent day with the Conveyance – Rely on me & all will be right – I consider it better that I shod not be more explicit. Of course you will not make any promise of the Presentation as my object is to complete the arrangement with Mr Finch & thereby settle the matter satisfactorily
I am very glad you have settled with Haywards Repreves for your expences in the Ejectment must have exceeded £120
I am Dr Sir yours truly
W R King
W. H. F. Talbot Esq
