My dear Sir

Dr Nicholas I believe died 7 Octr & therefore 6 April will be 6 months so that to prevent a Lapse you shod present on or before that Day.

It appears to me that Mrs De Starck <1> & her Trustees do desire to purchase the Advowson but there has been some blunder in the arrangements to appoint the money out of her settled property & tho’ there is now ample Time for them to do what is necessary yet judging from the previous delay it seems but too probable that they will trifle away the interval between this & 6 April wherefore I wod suggest your being prepared with some person to present.

I wrote yesterday to Mr West Awdry <2> – likewise to Mr Combs <sic> & Messrs Minchin <3> & Oake & told them that you wod not convey without reserving the next Presentation & from the latter it is probable I shall hear tomorrow. If I do I will apprize you what they say.

& am Dr Sir
yours truly

W. R. King

Serjeants Inn
Fleet St

7 March 1837
