March 28
Dear Henry /
William left this for Frankfort on friday [sic] – he had hoped not to return there, but till a successor is appointed he is bound to go if required – Mr Molyneux would have gone instead of Wm if Lady Georgina had not been very near her confinement – if you enclose to Ld Napier (which Wm [& I?] [illegible] was the best channel) & enclose again to J. Bidwell esqre [sic] For. Office you letters will go safe as they do not care who they come from. They are bound to forward any thing in the shape of letters –
I had a line from Caroline of the 5th a day or two ago She said there was no post either coming or going only by opportunities they could write – Ld Mt E. had the gout but was mending I hope now the weather is finer all your invalids will get about quickly – it is sadly sickly in London Ld Shelburne has been in bed for more than a week from violent influenza & is far from well yet –
love to Constance
Yrs very affe
